Con Livissianis is the founder of Exemplar Performance Advantage, a performance evaluation consultancy to directors and senior executives who want to understand better the impact of good corporate governance, effective risk management, efficient internal controls and well-skilled directors.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Financial Management) degree, is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Con is a firm believer that prevention is better than cure. His 30 year career in management and corporate development has led him to become well known as a corporate performance expert.

During the 1980s Con was employed as CEO of Australian Metal Holdings Group (which Group included Anderson Meats Limited, Twynam Pastoral Group and Australian Metals) with responsibilities for the development and implementation of group strategic and operational plans. His qualifications and background in commerce, accounting and financial management enabled him to work across all areas of the group and achieve the sale of an “unsaleable” abattoir and the restructuring of the pastoral group to eliminate losses and achieve meaningful, maintainable operating profits.

Con Livissianis formed Livcon Holdings Pty Ltd in 1981 and focused his corporate doctoring skills on identifying the causes and risks of poor performance in major companies. He specialised in financial management appraisal and soon earned a reputation as a practical consultant whose no-nonsense approach achieved positive bottom line results for his clients. His consultancy projects have included corporate recovery and restructuring, due diligence on new acquisitions, systems and procedures and audits of internal controls, cash flow management and development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for corporate boards.

A popular area of Con's consultancy work was the training of executive teams and boards of directors in accounting and financial management for non-financial people. These intensive workshops have been further developed for the Directors' Performance Advantage Program.

In 1999 Con hired research and development staff to work on the Exemplar range of products and he is now totally involved in the management and development of the Exemplar Directors' Performance Advantage Program.

Exemplar's evaluation tools assist in defining and refining areas for improvement in corporate performance, and result in quantifiable advantages that are manifested in increased shareholder and staff value.
